I heard some months ago that Sony has released a PS3 peripheral which will allow players to play for PS2 games on PS3 through its adapter. Is this true? I have checked the new Playstation.com when I heard, but do not seem to have been any time.

Is this compatible with PS2 games look better or worse when played on the PS3?
I just bought a PS3 the other day and wanted to know if is compatible with PS2 games look better. I have no HDTV, but there is an option feature on the TV I have. I do not even open the PS3 and I want know before opening to take back if the games are horrible. Apparently, there is an option + UPRES PS2 smoothing in a firmware update again, but I'm not sure if I can get my PS3 connected to the Internet now. Does anyone know if PS2 games look better or worse on the PS3, if not using an LCD / Plasma? What I can do with my PS3 and my TV 19''Tube maybe PS2 games look like?
