ps3 lens broken–is it safe to get the kes400a?

but i read something where people bought the actual disk drive because the drive wasn’t spinning….should i return the my purchase, or will it begin to spin again once the laser’s fixed? help! thank you 
well i would suggest you cancel that order because once you open the PS3 you lose your warranty if you had the PS3 for less than a year then you can send it to Playstation they will fix it for free but if it is over a year then i would suggest you pay the $150 because if you mess it up Playstation will not take it even if you offer money to fix it they will reject the offer because you opened it and messed it up which means you will have to buy a new one for the $400 price

What better replacement Buying refurbished PS3?
so my 40 GB PS3 has finally arrived a few weeks ago, and I try to get another. The reason why is low because the bluray diode laser that reads the recorded disc, and it's like $ 150 to replace, so I thought why not get a better hair? Best Buy has' em for about $ 240 refurbished. What I know is if the disk is replaced, because I do not want to buy and have it break in a year or two … @ Carlos, yes, but it depends on how you play. I play at least an hour and a half days, and I had mine for 4 years
when the renewal of a PS3 going through it and replace what is worn or suspect, that the basis of what was wrong with one that was returned under warranty and has renewed – basically, if you send a PS3 in your warranty that will replace it with a renewed and then repair or use as parts, usually ends with the PS3 and its renewal. will not be replaced either party in the refurbished PS3, only broken or worn parts.

Hello, I think my ps3 broken laser and want to do something. Sony Helpline is far from if this is a DIY jobby. Is it safe? I read the book and said that exposure to radiation can cause exposure to laser class 1. Help?
Yes, even think about opening up if you are not sure what you do. Believe me, my Ps3 Joystick has stopped working once, and opened it, and finally ruined when the problem is easily fixed. IdK do some research on the internet b4 playing with it, or you have the PS3 will become a doorstop.
