With the release of their latest gaming console, Nintendo has given a tough competition to other consoles namely Xbox and PS3 with its latest offering, the Wii. The Wii console belongs to gaming home of Nintendo. The console gives avid players, children and tech savvy people to experience new generation gaming system.
The Nintendo Wii is the smallest and lightest among other consoles with measurements of 44mm width, 157 mm height and 215.4 mm depth in its vertical orientation. The console weighs only 1.2 kg. Featuring a compact design allows Wii to display either vertically or horizontally. Unlike other consoles, the Wii possesses advanced features of wireless controller, Wii Remote and WiiConnect24.
The Wii console communicates wirelessly with the internet through a wireless controller or a Wii LAN adopter. The intuitive controller detects acceleration in three different directions. The Wii remote is a combination of accelerometer and infrared detection that allow users to enjoy playing games without sitting near to the television screen or a gaming console. Moreover, the WiiConnect24 feature connects to the internet through the built-in Wi-Fi connection or USB-to-Ethernet adopter. Thereby, it allows users to send and receive messages over the internet.
The Wii is technically advanced version to the Nintendo Game Cube. Its back ports are compatible with the previous version. It includes four ports for controller and two slots for memory cards. The gaming console is enriched with bundle of games like Super Mario galaxy, Twilight Princess, Heroes 2, Guitar hero and many more. In addition to that, the Wii comprises of sports games like golf, boxing, tennis and bowling; that adds more entertainment and fun to it. The WiiConnect24 features of Wii allow users to download games easily from the internet.

So for my birthday I just get Guitar Hero 3 for the Wii system and just the daylight other day my elder sister mentioned she wanted to try it out and start playing. Ok so lets enunciate me and my friends all play a multiplayer winter sport like aura 3 or call of duty 4. When it has honestly came down to the video game console wars, Sony has unfortunately lagged behind the pact of sales, with Microsoft and the Xbox 360 & Nintendo with the Wii. Sony sadly hasn’t had the sales to match with the way gamers across the country had definitely needed for their needs. While it still has had some great games like Motorstorm and Guitar Hero: World Tour, there still wasn’t a whole lot there for those who simply at the time, couldn’t afford to buy the PS3 Console.
Well, after a few years of desperation, Sony has decided to pull out all the stops, by reducing its price, but to enhance the way that the PS3 Console has made itself a influential video game system. Well, with Sony deciding to soon retire the Playstation 2, Sony has put its priorities on the PS3 Console full time, with not only a reintroduction, but a new sleaker version. But, is it worth its weight in what it is worth, or should Sony make more drastic measures?
The newer, and simpler Sony PS3 Console, brings in all that we have enjoyed from the original PS3 Console, but add in a bit more within the price, and the gameplay. The system offers a much bigger hard drive for its price, but has all the features from top to bottom that were enjoyed from the PS3 Console right out of the box, including a bigger hard drive, where you can store 120 GB of gaming from the PSN, and downloadable content and games like the simple Flower, as well as play all your favorite movies on DVD & Blu-Ray discs. The setup makes it a lot sleaker and more convient to place around your house, more than any other Blu-Ray player currently on the market.
You also get to play all your favorite PS3 Console games like Gran Turismo 5: Epilogue, Ratchet & Clank: Tools Of Destruction, and many other greats. The setup is very easy, and fun to play. Sadly though, there are a few disadvantages with this one. The first one is that unlike the PS2 or the Nintendo Wii, it honestly isn’t backwards compatable. So if you still own Playstation 2 or the original Playstation 1 games, you sadly won’t be able to play them here. Also, the loading time for Blu-Ray movies takes awhile on the new PS3, because the speed of the system for those discs is very slow. But you do get very well, a whole lot for what your money is worth right now, if you simply couldn’t afford the PS3 Console then, and waited for the price to drop.
All in all, despite a few things that could’ve been added for the newer version of the PS3 Console, it still is a great system from start to finish. Now, that the price has dropped, it is a better time to buy the PS3 Console than ever before. With Blu-ay players and discs being more affordable right now, it makes the system a must have video game owner. If you’ve waited for the price to drop on the PS3, because you couldn’t afford it 3 years ago, now is the right time to jam your heart out on Sony’s PS3 Console.

I have had this unit for about a week now or 8 days , must say the Blu ray ,kicks butt, great in 1080 ,But : compared to my many other gaming units , this dude is running Very hot after just 1 movie, or playing a game for about 2 hrs. even none of my 360′s did this or do this which is why I now have 2 of the elite’s R.E. Special Edition ,1 was a gift from someone, weird or strange besides the heat, is that with the great technology of wifi, when I use my PS3 Console to go live for anything mainly looking around on ps home and store,(I personally don’t play online) within an hour or 2 it screws up my Router which is mint shape ,and then my 360 and last but not least my internet connection, all 3 knockouts for the price of 1 , (not good).will make a few calls to see what the future holds with this very affordable new unit ,do not need all these headaches, my specialty is law enforcement ,but 1 of my associates has been involved with all this for years and does think the problem is this unit..time will tell. and NO I don’t need any of you experts to say, well it probably isn’t set up right , Wrong …
