PS3 fans REALLY REALLY loud?
Hi, I have a 40gb ps3, if I turn it on, I can barely hear the fans, in about 5 minutes the fans will start to work at half capacity, and if I start to play killzone 2 (or any game really) the fans will get REALLY REALLY loud. My Ps3 is located in the center of a table with nothing blocking the fans. Is this a defect or can I fix it, I am really worried that the circuits will melt

How hot is the room? Air temperature and room temperature can play a significant role in how hot your PS3 gets.
You say the PS3 is on a table. Are the bottom vents getting enough space? Put the PS3 in a vertical position to ensure those vents get space as well.
Have you cleaned out the dust inside the PS3 recently?
