Turtle Beach(R) Announces Ear Force(R) X11 Headset For Xbox 360(R) And Pc Gaming

Elmsford, N.Y – Turtle Beach, the leaders in XBOX 360 gaming headsets, today announced its new Ear Force X11 stereo gaming headset for the XBOX 360 and PC gaming. Featuring vastly improved sound quality and an enhanced ergonomic design, the X11 embodies an attention to detail that characterizes the entire line of Ear Force headsets from Turtle Beach, making it ideal for playing popular XBOX® titles such as Battlefield Bad Company™ 2, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock 2™, Call of Duty® Modern Warfare® 2, HALO® 3, Left 4 Dead® 2, Assassin’s Creed II, and Guitar Hero®.

“The X1 has been the XBOX gaming community’s favorite stereo headset for more than 3 years.” says Peter Ronick, Director of Marketing. “There is no other stereo gaming headset more widely used by XBOX 360 gamers than the X1-arguably the best-selling stereo XBOX gaming headset of all time. Now, the torch has been passed to the X11, a successor that might prove to be even more popular with an improved look, enhanced sound quality and comfort features at the same affordable price.”

Visually compatible with the Ear Force X31 and X41 wireless headsets, the X11 sports a black and white design motif with circum-aural ear cups, a deep-cushioned headband and long, adjustable boom mic. For added comfort, the ear cups have been made larger with deep fabric-mesh cushions that sit comfortably around the ears, allowing for enhanced game play for longer periods of time. An extra-long 16-foot cable makes it easy to move around the room while playing XBOX games. Features include:

* Independent volume controls for game and voice signals to balance Xbox Live® chat and stereo game sound.

* Large, acoustically-tuned ear cups with 40mm drivers produce superior audio with deep bass for all types of games, digital music, and entertainment.

* Integrated bass-boost makes explosions, gun shots and other deep-bass effects more dramatic by increasing the impact of low frequency sound cues.

* DC-coupled amplifiers provide super-wide bandwidth down to 0Hz while eliminating the distortion caused by speaker-coupling capacitors.

* A microphone with a rugged, oversized, flexible boom accurately reproduces the gamer’s voice during chat sessions.

* A microphone monitor keeps gamers from raising their voices louder than necessary and avoids the “under water” feeling that results when you can’t hear yourself speak.

While designed for the XBOX, the Ear Force X11 can also be used as a PC headset by virtue of its independent 3.5mm microphone and line audio plugs.

The Ear Force X11 headset has an MSRP of $59.95 and will be available at major US retailers including Best Buy, GameStop, Wal-Mart, Amazon, Newegg and at major Canadian retailers including Best Buy Canada and Future Shop, as well as from the Turtle Beach web site www.turtlebeach.com. UNBOXING: Turtle Beach Px1 Headset for ps3

ps3 console slim 120 gb

Playstation 3 Console – Ultimately The Goal Ps 3 Slim

After the ” GameCube era” to 2004, I began to finally become more and more PC games to care. Of course, the main arguments (especially at this time were, of course, correspondingly powerful hardware provided) much better graphics and more precise and intuitive control through mouse and keyboard.

But after a while I was there to buy to sorry, always new hardware being able to play the games, the quality declined significantly despite bombast optics, the best quality.

So I decided to buy me a Nintendo Wii. I was thrilled a long time from this device, the gaming gems such as Resident Evil 4, Metroid Prime 3: Corrpution, Zelda: Twilight Princess and the really very excellent Super Mario Galaxy really fascinated me for a very long time before the screen. I was always excited by the products since my youth and Nintendo, among them were found on such real real fun grenades.

My conclusion for the Wii: first to convince the innovative controls and user-friendly operation, but the console has to struggle with the problem that the control is really exhausted from a very small number of game titles. At which the graphic, if you have some claim, merely satisfactory. You get “now” (anno 2009), the Xbox 360 Elite also around 249 €, with 120 gigabytes of storage capacity and one (in my opinion) very good games now.

Keywords Xbox360. In July this year, I traff the decision to all my Nintendo Collection (N 64, GameCube, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, bringing Wii games included) to the man and get me an Xbox 360 elite. I regretted that decision VORERST not. The console is truly excellent, graphics absolutely super, games make a fun, and the menu navigation is also good. Of course, playing multimedia content and a pro-argument that one should leave in any case out of sight. But what I absolutely would like to mention is the fact that the controller is the Xbox, in my opinion, still the best among the 3 consoles. In terms of ergonomics and operation indeed very successful.

The console has also introduced a negative side:

On the one hand, the volume of the operating device is very high. Furthermore bothers me the pay online service Xbox Live, you can still compete with the umsont play online. Because it bothers me personally too failed when the Microsoft service is often praised but it very much. A small drawback is the battery-powered controller. I have a battery pack (bought a battery), and must say that the operating performance was already after 3 Charging disappointing.

But then came the 1 September and brought the new Sony Playstation 3 Console Slim on the market. At first I laughed at this strategy of Sony, it was the X-th edition of the Playstation 3 Console  But then I began to think. Blu Ray Player for 50 € extra for the “360 Elite”, also 120 GB of memory, game pads, which are not battery operated, which accompanies a cable for charging ALREADY and also a free online service and a great menu navigation.

I decided on 11.9.2009 to exchange again, and was not disappointed. My first PS at all, and I must say, as a former PS detractors () mainly due to high price, and controller, I am very satisfied. But please, good people of Sony, but provides the controller anywhere on at a single price!

Tomb Raider Underworld

There will be times while escorting Lara Croft through her latest quest that you’ll be genuinely awestruck. Then there will be times when you’ll be so stuck when problem-solving that you’ll wish you’d never even begun. Playing Tomb Raider Underworld is equal parts exhilaration and exasperation. But in the end we feel that we’re getting what we paid for – Indiana Jones with a ponytail, oftentimes matching Spielberg’s last movie spectacular for drama and special effects.

As you’ll discover to your delight or dismay from the very beginning, Underworld is a celebration of traditional Tomb Raider conventions alongside a handful of trailblazing extras. The bare bones gameplay involves Lara Croft navigating complex obstacle courses in the form of ancient temples and palatial underground crypts. Locations are invariably vast and tricky to explore, you don’t have a map on which ‘X’ marks the spot. In Tomb Raider you have figure it out all by yourself. That’s the whole game. Although Lara now drops hints they’re usually something general along the lines of, “I need to find a switch to open that door.” Oh really? I might never have guessed. And don’t get us started on the Sonar Map… waste of time.

Lara’s newfound gymnastic skills lead to fiddly control requirements that’ll have seasoned gamers blowing away mental cobwebs while casual players might quietly weep during some sections. You’re required to master leaping between narrow wall spaces and jumping across awkward angles, even backwards, very early in the game. When it works, it’s wonderful. When you miss even the slightest foothold it is agony.

Combat is sadly perfunctory at best. Lara can – very impressively – back-flip and cartwheel around while maintaining a steady aim on her aggressors. It makes battles versus tigers and panthers or zombie Vikings look dramatic but all rather random. Occasionally you might use the new adrenaline moves to deal more damage and take more careful aim, but usually all that’s required is to keep moving. Smaller enemies such as spiders and bats are obviously just thrown in to keep Lara busy for a while, brushing them off or just blasting them from a distance. Larger enemies are really a bit stupid – they’ll get trapped making them sitting ducks.

And yet Tomb Raider Underworld is utterly compelling. Once you’ve solved the first two bumper puzzles, after convincing yourself that they’re either impossible or the game itself must be broken, the game becomes impossible to put down. Underworld is visually stupendous with its colossal statues and foreboding catacombs. On the whole it’s a match for Drake’s Fortune on PlayStation 3, last year’s unsung Christmas blockbuster. The latter was balanced in favour of combat, whereas Underworld naturally upholds its essential tomb raiding element. Apart from Tomb Raider Legend and Anniversary there remains nothing else quite like it on Xbox 360.

Fans will not be disappointed, then, but newcomers could find it hard going. Nevertheless the new Tomb Raider really does deliver on high expectations.

25 Things About Me: Mario

It’s a me, Mario, and I’m here to tell you twenty five things that you might not know about me! I’ve been on a lot of crazy adventures and met a lot of quirky characters, and for some reason, I never get much of a break.  I like to think I’m better for it, even if I don’t get as much R & R as my brother, Luigi.

25 Things About Me: Mario

View Images of Mario

1. I come from a long line of plumbers, all the way back to my great grandmother Mariette.

2. People seem to really love my adventures; I’ve been featured in over 200 of them, and they’ve sold over 210 million copies.

3. Everyone thinks Luigi is jealous of all my fame and glory, but they don’t know the real reason why Luigi doesn’t have so many adventures: laziness.

4. Speaking of Luigi, you might be wondering why we he and I always wear the same clothes. Our mother hated doing the laundry, and it just easier to have reds and greens and not much else.

5. I’ve even starred in my own Hollywood movie! But… let’s not talk about that.

6. My evil cousin Wario has a terrible reputation, but he’s not all bad. In fact, he cooks an excellent lasagna!

7. If you’ve been playing my games for a long time, you might know me by my old name, Jumpman.

8. I had a very hard time with Super Mario Bros. 2. I think my designer may have eaten too many of my mushrooms!

9. I’ve undergone years of rigorous training to be able to jump as high as I do.

10. Princess Peach is cute and all, but between you and me, I’m really in it for her cooking.

11. Stomping on Koopa shells all day can get tiring, but it’s all in the name of Peach’s turtle soup.

12. In addition to my princess-saving, turtle-stomping adventures, I’ve worked overtime in plenty of other venues as well: fighting, tennis, go kart racing, golfing, baseball, and pinball are all on my resume.

13. When I’m not busy with all of these things, I really do find time to make a living as plumber. The real money is in the endorsements, though.

14. Mushrooms are great, but stars are better.

15. You might not think it by looking at him, but Toad is actually a calculus professor by trade.

16. I’m completely incapable of growing facial hair, except on my upper lip. In fact, I’m still waiting to star in that Super Mario: Police Officer game I was promised.

17. Although my favorite food is spaghetti, there’s nothing wrong with linguine either.

18. Everyone seems to love watching me run around in 3D, but it was less work to only have to movie left and right.

19. Traveling through all of those green pipes can be a lot of fun, but some of them are awfully smelly.

20. I own over 300 pairs of blue overalls.

21. There’s no party like a Mushroom Kingdom party.

22. Secret’s out: Princess Peach is a bottle blonde!

23. I am perpetually forty years old.

24. My last name is also Mario.

25. Bowser and I are actually on pretty good terms. In fact, we have a deal: He fakes his death at the end of each game, and we split all of our coins.

How to Choose the Best Pc Gaming Headset

A good PC gaming headset is almost a must if you want to have the best gaming experience. Most games nowadays are embedded with high definition audio effects. To really enjoy the game and be in the game, a good gaming headset is necessary.

So what constitutes a good PC gaming headset?

Comfort

A good computer gaming headset must be able to provide comfort to the user. This is necessary since you will be wearing it for a long period of time. There is only one way to test whether a headset is comfortable or not, and that is to try it out before you make your purchase.

Most of the time, the comfort factor is dependent on the:

  • Padding – Is it thick and soft enough to protect your ear?
  • Ear cups – Is it big enough to contain your ear?
  • Headband – Is it freely adjustable to suit the size of your head?
  • Weight – Is it too heavy for your ear to carry?

Put it on for 15 minutes and you will know whether it is suitable for you or not.

Sound Quality

A good PC gaming headset must have the ability to produce great sound quality. While different people perceive sound differently, you can use these few guideline to distinguish a headset with good sound quality from a bad one.

Bass

A gaming headset with a powerful bass will show significant differences in first person shooting game such as Counterstrike. You will be able to hear clearly the bullets flying around you and distinct explosion in the background.

Surround Sound

Surround sound effect is necessary to create the realism in your gameplay. Those PC gaming headsets with 5.1 digital audio encoded will be useful to help you identify the enemy that is sneaking behind you or shooting at you

Noise Cancellation

Some gaming headset uses an external microphone to pick up external noise and invert them to cancel out any unwanted noise. This is extremely useful if you are always playing in a noisy environment, such as an Internet cafe.

Cable Length

The cable length will determine how far away you can stay behind the screen. A typical gaming headset should have a cable length of 2m. Anything shorter than this length will restrict your movement and cause inconvenience to you. If you are playing game console, such as Xbox or PS3, in your living room, you might consider getting a headset with longer cable or an extra extensible cable to connect to your headset.

Wireless Headset

If you always move around and do not wish to be bothered by the cable, you can choose the wireless gaming headset that makes use of Bluetooth or RF technology. A word of caution, wireless headsets might be more prone to noise interference and/or loss of signal during the transmission, which can lead to static, pops or annoying noise.

Microphone

Some of the PC gaming headsets are geared with a microphone to allow interaction during gameplay. This might be a useful feature that you want to include in your gaming headset.

Volume Control

This may seem a trivial feature, but it matter a lot when you are far away from your sound system. For a gaming headset with surround sound feature, it would be useful to have an inline volume control to control the individual speaker levels. You can customize the volume setting for each speaker to enhance your gaming experience.

Vibrator

Force feedback gaming headsets make use of vibration to try to recreate the physical sensation of bass frequencies. The headset can vibrate in sympathy with the low frequencies in the audio signal, so that listeners both hear and feel the bass.

These should sum up most of the features found in a good PC gaming headset.

In conclusion, choosing a good PC gaming headset can be a very personal thing. A headset might fit comfortably on others, but not on you. You will have to try out the headset before deciding whether it is suitable for you.
